5 things you should know about semen quantity during ejaculation

Many men are under the impression that the quantity of sperm their ejaculate is a thing to be concerned about. So, Should men be concerned about semen volume? Find out.

Many men are under the impression that the quantity of sperm their ejaculate is a thing to be concerned about.

But, according to the International Society for Sexual Medicine (ISSM) the sperm quantity in an ejaculation may not be something to be concerned about and if it is a reflection of their manliness.

Also, it is assumed that more sperm ejaculated equals to more pleasure.

In a recent article, the ISSM asked a question many men must have asked themselves: “Should men be concerned about semen volume?”

The summary of their finding are contained here:

  1. The volume of sperm does not equal the amount of pleasure derived. Meaning that you may have little sperm ejaculated and have maximal pleasure or the other way round.
  2. Semen volume in ejaculation varied from person to person. So one man could have a higher sperm quantity ejected than another without implying that one is less manly than the other
  3. Normal touching and sexual activities can give maximum pleasure regardless of how much semen the man releases when ejaculation
  4. The amount of sperm men seem to produce in movies is not a normal thing. Some take drugs and other foods to increase sperm output
  5. Volume of sperm you ejaculate is not directly related to your sperm quality.

We advice that men who have anxieties and question relating to sperm output should see their doctors.

Unless you can’t produce sperm at all, then you are covered…
