Hello Friends and Viewers,

You may have noticed the new addition to AskAnjali.  The set of FAQs. (Frequently Asked Questions).

Many of you had questions and doubts and often asked us about them. We now have a brand new set of Answers to all your Questions.

We would apprecaite if you read the FAQs before you posted a Question. If you still have a Question or a doubt that is unanswered, please feel free to ask us through a PM (Personal Message), and we would be happy to answer.

In any case, please check if a similar question was asked earlier. You can do this by using the SEARCH option in the top corner. Also do give feedback to the Answers you receive. That would please us the most.

Good Luck to you all.

yeah right! totally a new and improved look than its previous ones. The great thing is its smooth that it and loads faster even in slower networks. Cool! Also the search panel as well as FAQs have also improved a lot but still some users posting similar questions.

Only thing bothering me and well might be others is the spam messages receiving form other useless users. Better restrict private messages only to admin, moderators and also editors. Again once user post a question after getting sufficient answers they must select one best answer within a time bound. It looks that once a user post a question they are not even looking at it. In such circumstance the moderators must take control of the question  posted by the user if left unattended.

Still I believe there must always be room for some improvement.

A huge sigh of relief for the Editors from now on. In the old days we had to search for a suitable link to close a FAQ, but from now on we can direct them to this page directly. We have been asking for this from a long time, but better late than never, so I'm happy this feautre has been added.

May be I am too dumb not to understand what is the new look. Under FAQ, there are some guidelines given. My expectation was give some links of FAQ, so that any unnecessary questions can be closed by asking to refer the relevant discussion. Some examples are given, but not the links.
I would like to see a few changes, if you allow me to mention here.
1. A questioner gives a best answer should not change that I got a few best answers, but got more best answers which were no longer there. If the questioner keep changing that's quite irritating.
2. When a question is posted, the best answer shouldnot be given in a day at least. A lot of people comes here at different time zone. Give them the opportunity to write.
3. A lot of people ask a question and vanishes away without any further update, those questions can be removed as non responsive members.
4. I can see a few editors and moderators are burning their ass off replying and managing the site. A number of editors are not there at all. some editor doesnot approve any question, though I can see they are writing. Why cant you take some new editors?
5. Some posts are not good, seems due to higher points they get an advantage. Can this be changed and make everyone on a level playing field? All posts goes through moderation will keep the site clean.
And finally, I am not sure I should mention this-
6. Anjali Aunty's reply in audio, the replies are good no doubt, but the way she talks, I feel absolutely disgusted. At least the language should be proper. Its complete raw and seems to me some phone sex girl is using tickling language. Can the words be a bit formal?

There is no issue one would feel bad when you mention a few points which you felt have to be addressed, so let me go in the order you’ve asked them:

As for providing specific answers for the FAQ’s, we’re in the process of giving a perfect concrete answer written by a specific user or the Editor or Moderator to help the questioner get past his query. Its just that it had taken so long for this step to have been made, so the next addition to the FAQ’s would be a set of concrete answers.

1)As I have told this earlier, the decision is completely the questioners, so we cannot influence them. However we, the Editors and Moderators have put up a word with the technical admin to develop a system that wouldn’t change the best answer.

2)Here again the choice is left to the questioner. However this must be stopped as some questioners select an answer the best after the 1st answer gets posted. We shall see to that an answer isn’t selected best for a minimum period of 3-4 days.  This comes in reference to an issue you mentioned on the post of ‘premarital sex’.

3)We close down posts that are 2 weeks old, be it posts with responsive questioners or not. The issue in closing the posts with non-responsive questioners is that, we would in one way or the other benefit by getting to know of some new issue and we would answer them. From my personal experience I was a novice when I had 1st logged in and after going through various posts, I had been able to know what is what, so it would come to help some other users.

4)We, the Editors are just like you users, we give our time a bit more than you people to maintain this site clean and hassle free besides answering. We do have our own businesses, jobs and activities and hence we fill in when we find time, so if an Editor is not active it is after him/her having intimated us of the absence. As for the need of a new Editors, we were silent about this since we needed some time to analyze a few specific users by their answering ability, the care they take in answering, participating etc......and we’ve zeroed in on a few. I shall take this matter up with the Moderator and the Admin.

5)Users who’ve crossed 2000 points will need no moderation for posting, but that doesn’t mean we don’t look at their posts. We do go through their posts and make necessary edits if needed and we even close them down if we find it useless. And we don’t give any kind of unfair advantage to anyone just because he/she is in a particular position.

6)You made your point and I do think the language is a bit crude. Besides this I feel it would be good if it were posted in English for this site is visited by various users who necessarily do not know Hindi. Let us see to what she thinks about it.

And finally thanks for speaking up and mentioning a few issues up here, I hope I have addressed them well.

Thanks Invincible, quite comprehensive and encouraging answer. Having a good FAQ would be a great reliever.
Rest of the points are very much acceptable, only two things to add.
People with more than 2000 is not a good solution. If someone wants to cheat the system, it will take a night to make that by up and down votes.
Secondly, the reply from Anjali Aunty in Hindi is quite good. If someone doesnot understand, its no big deal. My concern was use of all the raw words. I am not giving example here. yes we are habituated hearing these among friends and bedroom, but not in public forum.
